Tutorial: beaded owl pendants

In the last post I presented you the owl-purses I made for my daughter and her friends. And here is the tutorial for the bead-pendants. Please note, this is my first tutorial ever :-)

Material:
  • a 75cm thin white thread (Fingerring or lighter)
  • 26 beads color 1 (here orange)
  • 15 beads color 2 (here white)
  • 3 beads color 3 (here yellow)
  • 2 beads color 4 (here black)
  • 7 larger beads (here yellow and green)
  • a bead-threading needle, whatever it is called. I used a thin metal thread
  • glue

Instructions:
  1. Start in the middle of the thread by making a loop.
  2. thread a bead of color 1 on each side.
  3. thread 4 beads of color 1 on the left thread and pull the right thread through from the other side. The 4 beads are now threaded from both the left and right thread and the right thread is now on the left side, the left thread on the right side.
  4. continue following the pattern in the picture. The threads are criss-crossing the beads and all beads are threaded both from the left and the right side.
  5. When you have reached the end pull the left thread back through the second and the right thread back through the fourth bead. Both threads are now in the middle of the owl.
  6. thread the larger beads and make a knot.
  7. fix it with glue.

I hope these instructions are comprehensible :-) If not please don't hesitate to leave a comment, also if any of the words are wrong.

Have fun with this tutorial,
hooky hugs!
